Naomi Cox is a Solicitor in our Family Law Team. She joined Alletsons in 2009 and qualified in 2011.

Naomi specialises in all areas of family law, with expertise in complex children matters. She is a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel and holds the SRA Higher Rights of Audience (Civil), allowing her to represent clients in higher courts.

Her commitment to excellence was recognised early in her career when she won the prestigious Cooks and Hatchards Law Prize, awarded by the Devon and Somerset Law Society.
Naomi is known for her skilled advocacy and compassionate approach, particularly in cases involving vulnerable clients and sensitive issues.

Notable Cases

• JH & MF [2020] EWHC 86 (Fam) – A high-profile private law case, reported nationally, following an appeal of a decision by HHJ Tolson.
• SCC v R and H (2020) – High Court case involving a Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) application; permission granted for media reporting.
• SCC v N and W (2018) – Successfully argued for the reopening of a previous fact-finding hearing in the High Court.
• SCC v S (2018) – Represented a mother in proceedings involving serious allegations of sexual abuse.
